Commmon Procedures
Epidural steroid injections
Epidural steroid injections deliver a mix of local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication directly into the space around your spinal nerves. This helps reduce pain and swelling in the lower back, legs, neck, or arms, often caused by conditions like sciatica or herniated discs. Relief can be long-lasting and may help you avoid surgery.
Trigger point injections
Trigger point injections target painful muscle “knots” that can cause discomfort in the neck, back, shoulders and other areas. A small amount of anesthetic, and sometimes steroid, is injected into the muscle to relax it, relieve pain, and restore movement. They’re quick, done in-office, and recovery is minimal.
Major joints injection
(shoulder, hip and knee)
These injections deliver anti-inflammatory medication, such as cortisone, directly into a major joint to reduce pain from arthritis, injury, or overuse. They can provide relief for weeks or even months, helping you move more comfortably and participate in physical therapy.
Facet joint injections
Facet joints connect the bones in your spine and can become inflamed, causing back or neck pain. Facet joint injections deliver medication into these joints to ease pain and inflammation, and can also help pinpoint the exact source of your discomfort.
Nerve blocks
A nerve block is an injection of anesthetic, sometimes with anti-inflammatory medicine, around specific nerves to stop pain signals from reaching the brain. They can be used for temporary relief, long-term management, or to help your doctor identify the source of pain.
Radiofrequency ablation
RFA uses heat from radio waves to target and “turn off” nerves that send pain signals. It’s a minimally invasive procedure that can provide months of relief for chronic back, neck, or joint pain, especially when other treatments haven’t worked.
Sacroiliac joint injections
The sacroiliac joints connect the base of your spine to your pelvis. Inflammation here can cause lower back, hip, or buttock pain. These injections place anti-inflammatory medication directly into the joint to reduce swelling and pain, often making movement easier.
